Charlene Hatton, MA, LPCC, ATR-BC

Provisionally Licensed Therapist

I provide a supportive and compassionate space for teens, adults and couples to work through life’s challenges. Many of the people I work with are moving through anxiety, depression, grief, major life transitions, or difficulties in their relationships. In our work together, we’ll explore what you’re experiencing, uncover strengths you may not yet see in yourself and build tools that help you move forward in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable. I approach therapy through a neurodiversity-affirming, strength-based lens, honoring each person’s unique way of being in the world.

I believe the healing process isn’t something we’re meant to do alone. Healing grows in safe, connected spaces where you can be seen, heard, and understood without judgement. My role is to sit alongside you with curiosity and care, offering reflection, support, and guidance as you make sense of your experiences and move toward growth. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person I work with. I integrate art therapy, somatic approaches, DBT and CBT while staying rooted in a person-centered perspective to address both the body and mind and honors each client’s unique experience. I also offer EMDR therapy for those looking to process trauma and anxiety.

As someone newer to Colorado, I bring a fresh perspective along with diverse clinical experience. I am a licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Candidate (LPCC) in Colorado and a Registered Art Therapist- Board Certified (ATR-BC).  I’ve worked in inpatient and outpatient settings with adults, as well as in intensive in-home and school-based settings supporting children and teens, including those diagnosed with Autism. My specialties include anxiety, identity development, boundary setting, depression, trauma, and life transitions.

At the heart of my work is a deep belief in the power of empathy, compassion, and connection. I also value helping you identify what matters most to you—your values—as a guide toward meaningful, lasting change. Therapy asks for vulnerability and courage, and I don’t take that lightly. I will meet you with authenticity, showing up as my real self in the room with you. I will gently challenge you when it supports your growth, and I will always do so with respect, honesty, and care.
Outside the therapeutic space, I enjoy spending time with my corgi, Tucker, spending time outdoors, creating art, and reading fiction books.
